InfoGraph Celebrates 35 Years of GIS in Jordan

In 2026, InfoGraph marks 35 years since its founding in Jordan in 1991. This anniversary is an opportunity to thank the clients, partners, colleagues, and learners who have been part of our journey—and to look ahead to the work still to come.

From our base in Amman, we help organizations use geographic information systems and remote sensing to understand their data and make informed decisions. Software, application development, training, and technical support all contribute to that work.

A journey that began in Jordan

InfoGraph was founded in 1991 and became Esri’s sole authorized distributor in Jordan in 1992. These milestones established the foundations of our work with organizations using geographic information to address practical needs.

Over the years, the ways people collect, analyze, and share spatial information have continued to change. Our role is to help teams connect those capabilities to the work they need to do: organize data, develop useful applications, and make information accessible to the people who depend on it.

Building skills alongside technology

The launch of our GIS training center in 2004 marked another important step in that journey. Training remains central to helping people use geospatial tools with confidence.

A useful map depends on the decisions behind it: choosing appropriate data, checking its quality, understanding the analysis, and communicating the result. Developing those skills helps individuals and teams make better use of the technology available to them.

As we celebrate this anniversary, we also celebrate the curiosity and commitment of the people learning GIS, developing their skills, and applying them in their organizations.

Thank you to our community

To our clients, thank you for trusting us with your geospatial needs and for bringing the questions that give our work its purpose. To our technology partners, thank you for your collaboration. To our colleagues, past and present, thank you for the knowledge, care, and effort you have contributed.

And to the students and professionals who have learned with us: thank you for making skills development part of this shared story.

Looking ahead

Thirty-five years is a milestone to appreciate and a reason to keep learning. Our focus remains on helping organizations use spatial data effectively, supporting their teams, and connecting technology to practical outcomes.

We look forward to continuing that work with our community in Jordan and the region.
