On GIS Day, the Al-Idrisi Club at the Department of Geography – University of Jordan organized a distinguished scientific day titled “The Role of GIS in Addressing Climate Change.”
This event was held as part of the global celebration of GIS Day, an international initiative observed worldwide to raise awareness of the importance of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in addressing real-world challenges and supporting informed decision-making.
The event commenced with an opening speech by Dr. Hind Al-Sarayrah, Head of the Department of Geography, who emphasized the importance of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) as a key tool for analyzing climate data and supporting sustainable decision-making.
